Overview
As a graphic designer, I was tasked with creating various catalogs for a chair manufacturing and supply company. This project required me to design two product catalogs and a 32-page square booklet that showcased the company’s products in a visually appealing manner. I was also responsible for taking product photography for the catalogs, which involved setting up a mobile studio on-site and shooting more than 100 products. This project was an exciting opportunity for me to showcase my design skills and bring the company’s products to life through the use of visually appealing imagery and clear, concise design elements.
Challenges
Despite the exciting opportunity, this project presented several challenges that I had to overcome. The first challenge was to ensure that the design of the catalogs was consistent and cohesive, while still showcasing each product in its unique way. This involved careful attention to detail and careful planning of each page layout. Another challenge was ensuring that the product photography was of high quality and accurately represented each product. This required me to set up a mobile studio and experiment with different lighting and camera angles until I was satisfied with the final results. The final challenge was to ensure that the text and images were balanced and easy to read, while still maintaining an attractive design. I was able to overcome these challenges by staying organized, being flexible and open to feedback, and continually striving for the best possible results.
In conclusion, this project was a great opportunity for me to showcase my design skills and bring a company’s products to life through visually appealing catalogs and creative photography.
