Création d’une marque à la fois moderne et authentique pour une marque de boissons au Moyen-Orient et en Europe.

/ Naming

Diray is a name that heavily relies on phonetics and sound, it is short and features a strong phonetic contrast [dee-ra-ii] which makes it really rememberable.
The naming inspiration came from two main words that popped while researching the benefits of Malt based drinks which are really rich in vitamins. The word « Diraya » which means enlightenment & knowledge, and the name « Adira » which is a typical arabic name for « strength ». These arabic roots also make the name easily translatable to arabic in terms of logo design.

/ Logo

The logo is fully typographic with a very « oriental » feel to it, it has been drawn with a Qalam, which gives a very sharp look with defined edges.We then softened and exaggerated the curves which contrastes well with the sharp edges and gives a rather appealing look. Inspired by vintage beer logos, a small and extremely subtle retro shadow is added to the wordmark to complete the look. A very premium, culturally relevant, and self-speaking logotype.
